Last month we explored building your brand name for FREE. This month we have hints for spending a little for big returns.
Frequent Mailings: I know, I know you’re saying "but I don’t even look at 'junk' mail." It is true that many people discard advertisements that are not relevant, but if they are in the market for your service or product they WILL look at it. And just like those catchy jingles we hear over and over again, frequent mailings with your company name will keep it ever present in a potential customer’s mind. So when the time comes to schedule a major service such are roofing, renovations, house painting, landscaping, etc., your business name will come right to mind.
So what’s a cost effective way to do this? There are many companies around that print postcards and mail them for pennies a piece. The key is to be consistent and mail often. Set a goal and keep it. Don’t get discouraged if you do not hear right away. Let your name be repeated in potential customers’ mind several months in a row. A good rule of thumb is to plan for at least a six month campaign. The important thing is to keep your message and name looking the same each month. In fact pre-printing the entire 6 month quantity will save you even more on printing overall and have the consistency you want.
We’re here to help. We’ll create the postcard and order the mailing and all. You sit back and focus on your business and we’ll focus on your postcard mailing.

Look into sponsoring or co-sponsoring a community event: Many communities reach out to residents through special events throughout the year. Get your business name on the list of sponsors and find out how your business can have a “presence” at the event. Is there a table you can rent for a nominal price? Display your name and logo in a place that can be seen by people passing by or stopping to talk. Have inexpensive photographed flyers to hand out with a special offer of some sort. And don’t forget a call to action. Make the man on the street want to hire you or use your product or service!
